Heels were swapped for sneakers over the weekend when a number of the audit crew got together for a round of pub golf… Sporting attire was a must and full participation was expected. Needless to say, performance was on par and a number of handicaps developed over the course of the evening. The bar was set high when a number of hole-in-one’s were attained on the first stretch. Mandz took the win through her consistent performance and determination. Good team bonding… necessary preparation as we begin the lead up for the sports interchange with the north island Deloitte offices held in early October.
Wellington on a Plate took off with numerous food and beverage events at new, old and random locations around Wellington. We decided to get amongst the vibe (always up for food and drink) and attended “Cupcakes & Cocktails” at Martha’s Pantry… A fun filled evening, picked up a few tips, it’s safe to say cupcake decorating is not my forte, Alice (our in-house baker) really found her calling…

As if we hadn’t spent enough time doing extracurricular activities together, a ski trip with the audit team ensured that we spent the whole weekend in Ohakune bonding. The small, quaint ski village was taken by storm when the audit team were out for dinner. In more ways than one- After a few champagnes and a steak the accountants got out their dance moves…

Meanwhile the snow began falling outside the restaurant, ensuring an adventurous wander home. Snow fights and a few bails was all just good practice for the epic day of skiing and boarding that was to follow…

Amazing weather, wicked snow and above average company. Good result.
Now it’s back to the real world… Off to Christchurch next week for a job, here’s hoping the after-shocks become less frequent. Hope everyone in Christchurch is doing ok! Amazing there were no casualties.
Cheers, Lucy :)
